For 85 years, S&W Supply has been a cornerstone in the automotive parts industry. To mark this significant milestone, this Federated Auto Parts member, based in Hays, Kansas, is hosting a year-long celebration to thank its loyal customers. Instead of a single event, S&W Supply has opted for an extended commemoration filled with contests, special events, and customer appreciation days, demonstrating their deep gratitude for 85 years of success.
“Celebrating our 85th anniversary is a true blessing,” stated Don Bickle Jr. and Tim Bickle, co-owners of S&W Supply. “Our customers are exceptional, and we want to express our sincere appreciation for their unwavering support over the years. The dedication of our employees, both past and present, has been instrumental in shaping S&W Supply into the company it is today. Reflecting on our humble beginnings as a small auto parts store to where we are now, 85 years later, is truly remarkable.” This journey highlights their commitment to providing quality and exceptional service.
The anniversary festivities began earlier in the year with special customer-appreciation days, featuring lunch events at every S&W Supply location. These events provided a perfect opportunity for S&W Supply to connect with their customers and show their gratitude in person. Complementing these events are monthly in-store anniversary specials, offering deals on a wide range of s&w car parts and accessories.
S&W Supply is also running a special scratch-card promotion for all customers, giving them a chance to win exciting prizes. These prizes include essential tools for auto repair, modern televisions, and convenient gift cards. Each location will award prizes, and a second-chance drawing offers even bigger rewards, such as tickets to NASCAR, NHRA, and Kansas City Chiefs events. This is just another way S&W Supply is giving back to the community that has supported them for so many years as a reliable provider of s&w car parts.
S&W Supply's 85th Anniversary Celebration
Further extending their anniversary celebration, S&W Supply is proudly sponsoring several community events throughout the year. This includes the annual Wild West Fest in Hays in July, where S&W will be awarding VIP and regular fest tickets to lucky customers. Adding to the excitement, S&W Supply will also sponsor a night of racing in August at the RPM Speedway in Hays. This special racing event will feature Federated spokesperson and dirt-track legend Ken Schrader, promising an unforgettable evening for racing enthusiasts and s&w car parts aficionados alike.
“Throughout this anniversary year, we are excited to offer numerous promotions and sponsor events designed for our customers to win prizes, enjoy themselves, and celebrate this milestone with us,” said Ryan Bickle, vice president of sales for S&W Supply. “We will conclude the year with our annual Toys for Tots campaign, which continues to grow each year. We are thrilled about our 85th anniversary and invite all our customers to join in the celebration.” This demonstrates S&W Supply’s ongoing commitment not only to providing top-notch s&w car parts but also to community engagement and charitable giving.
S&W Supply’s rich history began during the challenging times of the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl. Claude Sutter and his wife Helen (Bickle) Sutter established the company, initially offering a limited selection of automotive parts. As the business grew and moved to Hays, they were joined by Don Wells and his wife Lyle (Bickle) Wells. The company name, S&W Supply, honors this enduring partnership between the Sutter and Wells families. From these humble beginnings, S&W Supply has evolved into a leading supplier of a comprehensive range of s&w car parts.
In 1954, S&W Supply relocated to its current main location in Hays. Over the following years, the company expanded its reach, adding seven branch retail locations across Western Kansas. Today, S&W Supply is not only a trusted source for automotive and heavy-duty parts but also serves the industrial, agricultural, and oilfield markets, providing a diverse inventory that includes a wide variety of s&w car parts and components. To further enhance its service capabilities, Warehouse Inc. was established in 1966 to act as a wholesale automotive warehouse for Western Kansas. In 1985, S&W Supply solidified its position in the industry by partnering with Federated, ensuring access to a vast network and high-quality s&w car parts for its customers.
