Located at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, Missouri, this is the largest swap meet in Missouri, boasting over 2,200 swap meet spaces and 343 car corral spaces. Whether you’re hunting for that elusive vintage part, a project car, or simply want to immerse yourself in the vibrant world of automobiles, this is the event you can’t miss.
Getting here is easy! Just take I-44 to exit 77 north (MO highway 13), turn onto Norton Road, and head east for about ¾ of a mile. The Fairgrounds will be on your right.
What to Expect at the Car and Parts Swap Meet
This isn’t just any swap meet; it’s a sprawling marketplace dedicated to all things automotive. Whether you’re looking to buy, sell, or simply browse, you’ll find an incredible array of items:
- Project Cars to Show Cars: Discover vehicles in every condition, from restoration projects to pristine showpieces.
- New and Used Auto Parts: Source parts for vehicles ranging from vintage Model T’s to the latest models.
- Shop Tools and Maintenance Supplies: Equip your garage with everything you need to keep your vehicles running smoothly.
- Automobilia and Collectibles: Find unique automotive memorabilia, collectibles, and decorative items.
For vendor convenience and shopper comfort, indoor swap spaces are available within the E-Plex building. These climate-controlled spaces are perfect for vendors offering automotive items, as well as arts, crafts, and related services. Outdoor spaces are dedicated to vendors with at least 80% automotive-related merchandise. Historically, outdoor and car corral spaces sell out quickly, and indoor spaces are anticipated to sell out for the first time this year – so book your spot early!
The swap meet spans a massive 77 acres, with an additional off-site parking lot for large trucks and trailers, monitored during the day and secured overnight.

We offer a variety of space options to suit your needs, whether you’re a vendor or looking to showcase a vehicle in our car corral.
Outside Swap Spaces
Our outdoor swap spaces provide ample room to display your merchandise:
- Size: 20ft x 20ft (Medium/Large), with variations noted on the map.
- Electricity: Available at select spaces for an extra charge, arranged directly with Fairgrounds Management at their E-Plex office.
- Accessibility: Each space has front access to a 20-foot-wide road that must remain unobstructed.
- Layout: Refer to the Maps section for detailed area layouts.
- Boundaries: Understand how space boundaries are marked in the Space Boundaries section.
- Tent Permits: Vendors using tents larger than 400 sq ft (e.g., 20ft x 20ft) must ensure their tent supplier obtains necessary permits and fire department inspections.
Inside Swap Spaces
For a comfortable and convenient vending or shopping experience, consider our indoor spaces:
- Location: Inside the E-Plex Building, just inside the main gate on E-Plex Boulevard.
- Amenities: Air-conditioned, well-lit, and easily accessible.
- Size: 10ft x 10ft (Medium/Large), with 10ft x 9ft spaces along walls. Check the E-Plex map for specifics.
- Rentals: Tables, skirts, and chairs are available for rent from Fairgrounds Management (417-833-2660 for details).
- Electricity: Available at most spaces for an additional fee, arranged with Fairgrounds Management in their E-Plex office.
- Boundaries: Learn about space boundary markings in the Space Boundaries section.
- Halls: Indoor spaces are located in the West Hall, East Hall, Center Hall, and Main Lobby of the E-Plex.
Car Corral Spaces
Showcase your vehicles for sale in our dedicated car corral area:
- Location: Behind the E-Plex and in front of the Grandstand.
- Capacity: 343 spaces available.
- 33 oversized spaces (15ft x 25ft) for cars on trailers or larger vehicles.
- 310 standard spaces (10ft x 20ft) for cars and light trucks.
- Security: The car corral area is locked nightly from 8 PM to 7 AM.
- Traffic: Pedestrian and mobility scooter access only within the car corral area.

Space Boundaries Explained
To help you set up effectively, space boundaries are clearly marked:
- Markings: Your space number faces you from the center of your space when standing in the aisle. Boundaries are indicated by “+”, “T”, and “L” markings.
- Orientation: “T” and “L” markers may be upside down or sideways.
- Lines: Solid lines may delineate front and/or rear boundaries.
Services Offered for a Smooth Experience
We strive to make your visit as enjoyable and convenient as possible with a range of services:
Free Public Admission
Enjoy free entry to the swap meet! A small parking fee applies. Public gates are open from 7 AM to 8 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 7 AM to Noon on Sunday.
Personal Transportation and ADA Scooters
- ADA Scooters: Rent approved scooters through Event Scooter Rental (262-677-2697 or www.eventscooters.com).
- Vendor Personal Transportation: Vendors can use golf carts, bicycles, etc., before 10 AM and after 4 PM.
- Restricted Hours: Motorized vehicles (except ADA scooters) are prohibited for vendors and spectators between 10 AM and 4 PM.
- Official Carts: Only OAAC official golf carts are permitted during restricted hours.
Free Parts Hauling Service
Need help moving those heavy parts? Our free parts hauling service is available to transport items from vendor spaces to the designated pickup area outside Gate 5A (main entrance at the end of E-Plex Boulevard).
Refreshment Vendors On-Site
Stay refreshed with multiple refreshment vendor locations: inside the E-Plex, along E-Plex Boulevard east of the E-Plex, and near the restrooms by Gate 11.
Restroom Facilities
Restrooms are conveniently located throughout the fairgrounds: on the south side of E-Plex Boulevard, inside the East, West, and Center Halls of the E-Plex, and in the Wells Arena and 4-H Building. Porta-potties are also strategically placed. Showers are available in the Wells Arena and 4-H Building.
Important Swap Meet Rules

- Prohibited Items: Bicycles, skates, skateboards, scooters, and ATVs are not allowed. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are permitted.
- City Ordinances:
- Alcoholic beverages are restricted to approved bar areas.
- Vendors cannot sell or give away food or beverages.
- Smoking is prohibited inside all buildings, including restrooms.
- Tents over 400 sq ft require permits and fire inspections.
- Vendor Vehicles: Only registered vendor vehicles with current registration stickers are allowed within swap meet and car corral areas.
- No Overnight Parking: Overnight parking, including campers, is not permitted in fairgrounds parking areas.
- Vendor Vehicle Access Hours:
- Thursday: For setup as per rules.
- Friday & Saturday: 6 AM – 10 AM and 4 PM – 10 PM.
- Sunday: 6 AM – 3 PM.
