Understanding Our Return Policy for Active Care Scooter Parts

This policy outlines the terms and conditions for returning items purchased from us.

General Return Guidelines

Most items can be returned within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. To ensure a smooth return process, please make sure all returned items meet the following conditions:

  • New Condition: The product must be in brand new, resalable condition. This means no signs of use, such as cracks, scratches, dirty or marked tires, or any other indications of wear and tear. Think of it as returning the active care scooter parts in the same pristine condition you received them.

Restocking Fees and Shipping Considerations

Please be aware that some products are subject to a 25% restocking fee upon return. Additionally, heavy items that are shipped via freight may have incurred non-refundable shipping charges. These items include, but may not be limited to:

  • Lift chairs
  • Vehicle lifts
  • Patient lifts

While active care scooter parts themselves may not always fall under these heavy categories, larger components or related mobility assistance products could. Please check product-specific return information at the time of purchase.

The Importance of an RMA Number

For all returns, a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number is mandatory. Returns received without a valid RMA number will unfortunately not be processed for credit.

The easiest and quickest way to request your RMA number is to call us directly at 888.826.4423, and select option 3. Our customer service team is ready to assist you with your return of active care scooter parts or any other product.

IMPORTANT: Any product returned without an RMA number will not be eligible for credit. To receive full credit for your return, ensure items are shipped within 14 days from when you receive your RMA number and detailed shipping instructions from Amica Medical Group of Companies.

Return Shipping Responsibilities

Unless the return is due to an error on our part, the customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping. However, we are happy to assist you in determining the most suitable shipping method once you have requested your RMA number for your active care scooter parts or other items.

For larger, more valuable items, we strongly recommend insuring them for their retail value to protect against any potential shipping damage. This is particularly important for sensitive components like active care scooter parts.

Please carefully adhere to all return-shipping instructions provided along with your Return Merchandise Authorization number. If a returned item is sent to an incorrect address, Amica Medical reserves the right to charge for any extra shipping fees incurred in rerouting the item to the correct location. Furthermore, if a scheduled pickup with a delivery carrier is missed, Amica Medical may apply an additional fee for each missed scheduled pickup.

Cancelled Orders Policy

If you cancel an order after the item has already been shipped, it will be subject to our standard return policies. You will need to accept the delivery, obtain an RMA Number, and then ship the item back to the correct return address.

Refusing delivery of an item will result in return shipping costs being deducted from your issued credit, and a 25% restocking fee (with a minimum of $25) will be applied. Please note that Second-Day and Next-Day shipping costs are non-refundable if delivery is refused. For heavy products shipped via freight, additional shipping charges may also be non-refundable. This applies to all orders, including those for active care scooter parts.

Credits and Refunds Processing

Once your returned item is received and inspected, Amica Medical will process a credit to the original credit card used for the purchase. Please allow up to 4 weeks for the credit to appear on your statement.
