Your Role as an Auto Parts Specialist
As an Auto Parts Specialist at our Caro, Michigan location, you will be the face of O’Reilly Auto Parts for both retail and installer customers. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional service, ensuring every customer interaction is positive and productive. You’ll be empowered to use your expertise to assist customers in selecting the correct auto parts for their needs, while also supporting the store management team in daily operations.

Responsibilities Beyond Customer Interaction
This role extends beyond just customer interaction. You will also be involved in crucial store operations, including:
- Inventory Management: Assisting with receiving freight, stocking shelves, and maintaining organized displays through fronting and facing. You’ll also participate in planogram updates and image maker maintenance to ensure accurate product placement and pricing.
- Point of Sale Operations: Operating the cash register, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions with accuracy and integrity. This includes processing returns and exchanges efficiently and in accordance with company policies.
- Problem Resolution: Addressing and resolving customer complaints with professionalism and empathy, striving for positive outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Operational Tasks: Contributing to daily tasks such as preparing merchandise for returns to the distribution center, assisting with stock adjustments, and participating in inventory cycle counts.
- Equipment Operation: Operating a brake lathe and other store test equipment (after completing necessary training and meeting company requirements) to provide valuable services to our customers.
- In-Store Services: Performing a range of in-store services (where permitted by law), such as wiper blade installation, battery testing and charging, charging system testing, trouble code scanning, and headlight capsule replacement, adding value to the customer experience.
- Delivery Driving (Occasionally): When business needs require, you may occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to transport parts to customers. (A clean driving record that meets company standards is essential for this aspect of the role).
