In most cases, a return authorization will be provided to streamline the process, and we will be ready to process your return as soon as it arrives.
In-Store Returns for Web Orders
If you prefer to return your web order in person, you can visit any Camping World retail location. Please bring the item in its original packaging along with your purchase invoice. While shipping charges are non-refundable, returning in-store offers a convenient alternative. Please note that refunds for web orders processed in-store are typically issued as a GIFT CARD or MAILED CHECK only, with some exceptions that may apply.
Returning Retail Purchases
Returns with a Receipt
For items purchased at one of our retail locations, returns are simple with your original sales receipt. Please return the unused and unopened item along with your receipt for a full refund or exchange. If you are returning with a gift receipt, you will receive store credit for the item’s purchase price at the time of the original transaction.
Returns Without a Receipt
We understand that sometimes receipts are misplaced. For retail purchases returned without a receipt, a store merchandise credit will be issued based on the lowest price the item was sold for within the last 90 days. To process a return without a receipt, we require proper identification in the form of a valid, state-issued driver’s license or state ID card. Please be aware that we reserve the right to limit or refuse returns made without a receipt.
Special Considerations for Good Sam Members
As a special benefit, Good Sam Members who have maintained continuous active membership since February 9, 2018, or later, enjoy an extended return policy. Active Good Sam Club members can return any unused and unopened product purchased on or after this date at any time. (Some exclusions apply, as detailed below). Membership status must be active on the date of product purchase to qualify.
Good Sam Protection Plans
For returns related to Good Sam Protection Plans, you can easily return your purchase to any store location for processing or simply call us at 1-888-626-7576 for assistance. Please note that purchases made with a personal check are subject to a 14-day hold period before the funds are eligible for return.
Exceptions and Exclusions to Our Return Policy
Certain items are non-returnable to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. These include:
- Outboard motors, trolling motors, EPIRBs, boats, SPOT devices, life rafts, PLBs, Class B AIS, and similar safety-sensitive items. For these products, if a defect is found, returns or exchanges must be handled directly through the manufacturer.
- Items with expiration dates, such as certain chemicals or perishable goods.
- Custom-made, cut-to-order, or special-order items, including rigging and electronic charts.
- Generators, mattresses, flares, hazardous materials, licenses, and gift cards are also non-returnable.
For specific categories, we have a 30-day return window for unopened and unused items:
- Electronics, skateboards, bikes, software, bedding, canoes, tents, drones, and kayaks fall under this 30-day return policy if unopened and unused. After 30 days, defective product returns or exchanges must be handled directly with the manufacturer.
Clearance and Outlet Items: Please note that all clearance and outlet items are sold “as is” and are final sale, meaning they cannot be returned at any time.
Installed Items: Once an item has been installed, it is no longer eligible for return or exchange. If an installed product becomes defective, any returns or exchanges must be managed directly with the product manufacturer under their warranty.
Returns on Items Purchased with Promotional Discounts: When returning items purchased as part of a promotional discount, the discount will be prorated. The value of any discount, free product, or gift card received as part of the promotion will be deducted from the refund amount for the returned items. Items received as free gifts within a promotion can only be exchanged if they are damaged or defective, and then only for a direct replacement of the same item. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash or applied to previous purchases.
